CatsEyeXI Privacy Policy

When you register a CatsEyeXI game account or use the CatsEyeXI website, we store the following account information:

• Account login name and a securely hashed password (we do not store your password in readable form)
• Registration email address and current email address
• Email verification code and verification status
• Account creation date and last modification date
• Account type, content entitlements, and any referral value supplied at registration
• Account status and privilege level used for access control and enforcement
• Characters created on the account and their in-game data, including active session records
• Discord account ID, if you link or sign in with Discord
• Server-side log records of logins, registrations, password resets, and support actions, which may include IP address and browser user agent

Our bots may access or process the following Discord information when needed to provide server functionality:

• Discord user ID, username, display name, and avatar
• Server membership status, roles, join date, and moderation-related server metadata
• Presence information, such as online, idle, do-not-disturb, or offline status, when required for bot features
• Message content in channels where the bot is present, when required for commands, moderation, automation, support, or configured server features
• Command usage, timestamps, channel IDs, server IDs, and related interaction metadata
• Information voluntarily provided through bot commands, support requests, forms, or other interactions

We use this information to:

• Verify server membership and role-based access
• Operate bot commands and server automation
• Support moderation, safety, and abuse prevention
• Provide player support and administrative tools
• Troubleshoot bot functionality and improve reliability
• Maintain records necessary for server operations and enforcement

CatsEyeXI may request Discord privileged intents, including Server Members Intent, Presence Intent, and Message Content Intent, only where needed for legitimate server functionality. These intents are used to operate community management, moderation, support, and integration features within the CatsEyeXI Discord server.

We do not sell Discord user data.

We may share limited data only when necessary with:

• CatsEyeXI administrators or moderators for server operation and enforcement
• Service providers used to host or operate CatsEyeXI systems
• Discord, if required for compliance, safety, or platform review
• Legal authorities, if required by applicable law

We retain bot-related data only as long as needed for operational, moderation, security, or compliance purposes. Some data may be retained in logs or moderation records to protect the community and enforce server rules. Data that is no longer needed may be deleted or anonymized.

Characters can be deleted at any time from within the game client. Deleting a character does not delete the CatsEyeXI account that character belongs to.

Account records are retained indefinitely. We keep them so returning players can recover access to their characters, and so we can maintain the operational, security, and enforcement history of the server.

If you want the account itself deleted, send a written request to [email protected] from the email address registered to that account. We use the registered address to verify ownership, so requests sent from another address cannot be honored. Verified requests are fulfilled within 30 days.

Some records are retained after an account is deleted where we are required or permitted to keep them, including moderation and ban records, security and abuse-prevention logs, and information needed to comply with applicable law. This prevents account deletion from being used to evade enforcement action.

We take reasonable measures to protect bot data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access is limited to authorized CatsEyeXI staff and systems that need the data for legitimate operational purposes.

CatsEyeXI is a free, volunteer-operated private server. We make no guarantee that account, character, or progression data will be preserved. Hardware failure, data corruption, loss of hosting, security incidents, server rollbacks, or the server ceasing operation may result in partial or total loss of data, and we cannot promise that any particular account, character, or item can be recovered or restored. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Discord users may request review or deletion of personal data associated with CatsEyeXI bot operations where deletion is technically feasible and not required for moderation, security, legal, or operational records.

Requests can be made by contacting CatsEyeXI staff through the official CatsEyeXI Discord server.

CatsEyeXI bots are intended for use within Discord communities and are subject to Discord's Terms of Service and age requirements. We do not knowingly collect information from users who are not permitted to use Discord.

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by changing the effective date on this page.
